Sometimes you feel that if Wood had stopped doing the comics (with all the labour it involved) and had "retired" to just doing single illustrations like this, he might have died a happier (and older...) man - he really had the gift of creating striking images with expert craftmanship! you have already showcased some of his masterpieces here on the blog - like the covers for Dynamo.
